Protecting our people
Daily toolbox talks, task-specific JHAs, PPE, and hazard controls that reflect the real conditions of institutional job sites.
Safety and Quality
Working in occupied hospitals, schools and commercial buildings demands a disciplined, safety-first approach. Our program is built to protect our people, your occupants and your facility, every day, on every job.
Our safety approach
Daily toolbox talks, task-specific JHAs, PPE, and hazard controls that reflect the real conditions of institutional job sites.
ICRA-aware barriers, dust and noise control, hot-work permits and shutdown planning coordinated with facilities and IPAC teams.
Housekeeping standards, floor and finish protection, and labelled mechanical rooms at handover.
Pre-qualification
Black Creek Mechanical maintains an active health and safety program built for work in occupied hospitals, schools and commercial buildings. We're set up to meet the contractor pre-qualification and HSE requirements our institutional clients require.
Specific certificates, clearance letters and program documents are provided on request as part of project pre-qualification.
Certifications and licenses
Our credentials are third-party verified, not self-declared. They tell owners, consultants and general contractors that our safety program and our technical work both stand up to outside audit.

Certificate #000989
Black Creek Mechanical is COR® certified under Ontario's Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA). COR® is the national benchmark for construction health and safety management, earned through a full audit of our program, our field practices and our documentation, and maintained through ongoing internal and external audits.
For owners and general contractors, COR® is increasingly a pre-qualification requirement. It confirms our safety program is built, followed and verified, not just written down.
Black Creek Mechanical holds multiple licenses with the Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA), the body that regulates boilers and pressure vessels, and fuel and gas systems across Ontario.
These licenses authorize our teams to install, alter and service the regulated equipment at the heart of institutional mechanical systems, keeping this work in-house, code-compliant and accountable to a single contractor.
Our welded piping is executed to recognized ASME standards, including B31.1 (power piping), B31.3 (process piping) and B31.5 (refrigeration piping), with medical gas systems installed to CSA Z7396.1.
Full certificates, audit results and clearance letters are provided on request as part of project pre-qualification.
Quality assurance
A safety-first culture and a quality-first install are the same thing done twice. Our QA workflow keeps installations on spec from submittal through commissioning.
We'll send our health and safety program and supporting documents the same day you ask.
